Inspiration Reflected in Artistic Design
Artisans Lynn Abravanel and Patricia LeGrand have been creating hand- wrought jewelry with multi-generational appeal since 1977. Their unique sterling and gold pieces are sold under the name of Scarabocchio.
We use only the highest quality 14-Karat gold, sterling silver, and semi-precious stones. Our work is exhibited at juried craft shows all over New England as well as at Artisans in the Square, a working artisan’s cooperative, in charming Hingham, MA. We are continuously experimenting with wire and sheets of sterling silver and gold metal to form our original jewelry designs which are constructed one piece at a time using old-fashioned hand tools. In this way, we differ from other jewelers who cast or assemble.
Our contemporary jewelry reflects our Cape Cod roots. We name many of our designs with a “water theme.” Examples are our “Bass River Striper” and “Ebb Tide” bracelets as well as the “Sandbar” earrings and bracelet.
What is the secret to our success? Our customers have gotten to know us over the years at the craft shows and at Artisans in the Square. They like to meet the artists who create the product and some of our best designs are because of our interactions with them. We listen to their ideas and try to incorporate their suggestions into our newer designs.
Be sure to visit us at a craft fair nearby or view our creations seven days a week at Artisans in the Square in Hingham, MA. We look forward to seeing you!!
